Galina Juritz, Roger Young and Kurt Human

Galina Juritz is a London-born, Cape Town-based composer and violinist. Since completing a BMus in Classical Performance at the University of Cape Town, she has performed around Southern Africa and abroad in bands, theatre productions, chamber groups and orchestras. While at home she composes for film, commercials and many combinations of ensembles and regularly works as a session artist.

Roger Young is a filmmaker and essayist whose primary concerns are collective memory, haunted spaces and ennui. He co-created and managed the alternative arts pop culture journal, Mahala, and frequently writes on film, music and related cultural issues for, amongst other publications, The Mail & Guardian, The Con and City Press.

Kurt Human is a Zurich-based sound designer from Cape Town. After studying film at AFDA Cape Town, he has spent the last few years capturing and creating sound for various media including moving image, theatre and art installations.
