New World Dance Theatre

New World Dance Theatre consists of:

Celeste Botha, a seasoned choreographer and dance teacher who has worked with the Copenhagen International Ballet in Denmark.

Marlin Zoutman, a talented dancer/choreographer who has worked with Jazzart and many professional companies in South Africa.

Llewellyn Mnguni, a choreographer and versatile dancer who has toured around Europe extensively, with the likes of Dada Masilo.

New World Dance Theatre (NWDT) teaches classes in various areas of the Western Cape, and as a professional performing company also showcases original works created by the company members. The company currently facilitates a Contemporary Dance Bridging Programme at the University of Cape Town, where students from the Western Cape Education Department schools are encouraged to take dance as a career path, while still attending regular schools. NWDT’s teaching filters into an apprentice programme, which offers aspiring artists the opportunity to join the professional field.
