Zip Zap Circus

Zip Zap Circus

Zip Zap Circus is a social circus, founded in Cape Town in 1992 to inspire young people and help create a culture of peaceful coexistence in South Africa. Zip Zap takes "ordinary" youth (including youth-at-risk) and provides them with the resources to develop skills through the medium of circus arts - in turn developing them as young leaders and making them eminently employable.

Zip Zap is dedicated to supporting training in circus arts and performance as a powerful tool for social transformation, youth empowerment, team building and community upliftment. The social outreach programmes provide opportunities for young South Africans from very different backgrounds to play, learn and live together using the medium of circus training.
