Joan Català Carrasco

Joan Català Carrasco joins Infecting the City from Barcelona, Spain.  Trained in the acrobatic technique ‘hand in hand’ Carrasco performed with the Madrid, Barcelona and Moscow circuses while nurturing his interest in contemporary dance, gesture, movement and the public stage.  Carrasco has worked with international choreographers Iñaki Azpillaga, Thomas Hauer, Lali Ayguadé and David Zambrano and performed in Alex Pechon’s short film You Will Fall Again. His work questions the communication code between performer, creator and receiver and public record.
