This Was Our Home

Debuting at Infecting the City 2017, the video series, This Was Our Home, shares the stories of former District Six residents who were forcibly removed from their land during apartheid.

Amongst others the video includes former resident Nazlie Connelly as she retraces her footsteps in the area where she grew up, as well as William Petersen who is captured in St. Marks Anglican Church, an important religious and heritage site and one of the few buildings of District 6 that remain today.

Future screenings planned for Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) later this year.
