Landmark is a contemporary hip hop poem offered as a performance art work that addresses the current conversation around land redistribution in South Africa. The work recognises land as a home for humanity, as inheritance, and as soil to harvest. The work is ‘a public service announcement’ intended as a call to action; a catalyst for conversation about land reform.
This installation will travel between the statue of Jan Hofmeyr on Church Square and that of Cecil John Rhodes in the Company's Garden.
