Cristiano Mangovo Brás

Cristiano Mangovo Brás is based in Luanda, Angola. He graduated in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Kinshasa, in 2007, and has participated in many exhibitions in Angola (National Festival of Culture, Tamar Golan Gallery, Celamar Gallery, ENSA Arte, Camões Portuguese Cultural Centre, Dr. Agostinho Neto Memorial and My Space), as well as exhibitions in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, France, Portugal, Italy and the USA.

His solo sculpture exhibition was presented at the Angolan Pavilion at EXPO Milano in 2015, where he was the artist of the month in July. In 2015, Cristiano participated in an arts residency in “Cité des Arts” (Paris), which he was awarded at ENSA ARTE 2014 by Alliance Française, along with two honourable mentions in painting and sculpture.
