Jeannot Kumbonyeki
Jeannot Kumbonyeki received his training from the Studios Kabako in Kisangani, in the North East of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he also founded the Keep Quiet street dance group in 2010. In 2011 he received the award for Best Dancer in the Vodacom Kata Dance contest. Jeannot is one of the three performers in the internationally acclaimed work Kinshasa Electric, by Brussels-based Ula Sickle. He also participates in the Redefining... Home-work Project, a mobile lab between Kisangani and Durban, under the guidance of Boyzie Cekwana and Faustin Linuekula. Le Kombi is his first solo. He lives and works in Kinshasa.
