Langa’libalele

The artists of Langa’libalele are prominent in the Cape Town spoken word scene, all pioneers of their own movements. Some are internationally recognised and have participated in local, national and international literary festivals.

Mbongenj Nomkonwana, Anele Kose and Lwanda Sindaphi are members of the Cape Town-based poetry collective, Lingua Franca Spoken Word Movement, which fuses poetry and music.

Vuyokazi Ngemntu has been in the poetry scene for a very long time, performing locally and abroad, and worked as an editor, translator and creative writing facilitator.
