Caught in the Crossfire

Using movement Caught in Crossfire investigates the construction of identity using four key aspects - tradition/culture,  femininity/sexuality, education and religion.  It is these elements that artist, Nolufefe Ntshuntshe, sees as obstacles confronting most young black women in an era where society’s influences are a powerful force in shaping and defining their lives.  The relationship between sexuality and femininity is questioned while challenging stereotypes surround English language as a measure of intellect.
