Dala What You Must! Ukhumbule Why?

An Audio Visual Experience. Dala What You Must! Ukhumbule Why? is a spoken word short film which tells the story of a wanderer who comes to the city for the first time during a pandemic, following a tragic personal loss. Instead of the glitz and glam that he has always imagined, beggars and pickpockets welcome him to the city. They take all his belongings. They leave him with nothing, not even the contact numbers of the person he was hoping to find in the big city. As the curfew hour approaches, what will he tell the police who do not speak his language? The viewer is taken on the wanderer's journey, played by Fizikal Mazibuko and the city itself, with the audio of the subtitled poem.
