Legacies

The works feature four generations of Siwela Sonke Dance Theatre. The work, overseen by Neliswa Rushualang and choreographed in collaboration with the dancers, is about the passing of legacy and started as cell phone videos when the dancers were confined to their homes and made work on their own. 

Part 1 deals with the relationship between father and son, and Part 2, a lighter work is about a young woman who, confined in lockdown, is inspired by light she receives through her elders, through legacy.
