Mobile Inertia
By: Siphumeze Khundayi
Mobile Inertia is a video work that deals with mental health issues of black women. It also lends itself to the isolation and powerlessness felt during Covid, expressed as the all-encompassing darkness that is often experienced during a depressive episode. The audience watching a projected version of the video will become part of the final product (showcased online), speaking to how disconnected we are feeling right now because of Covid - the disconnect often felt while struggling with mental health.
