This collaborative offering between Kwasukasukela Arts Collective and saxophonist Linda Sikhakhane, is an artistic documentation of the ‘codes of light’ that various groups of people in Cape Town have been using during this pandemic to ground themselves. It is believed that through these practices, the body and spirit connect with a Higher Being, opening up the third eye, and bringing a sense of enlightenment. Together with spoken texts, this offering showcases the stories how the members of this collective, and the larger community have used forms of movement and, or, sound to restore and maintain mental wellbeing for themselves and others.
