Jnr

Founded in 2014 by Rosie Mudge and James King, Jnr is a transitory contemporary art gallery, “promoting work which isn't boring”. Using unutilised city spaces as temporary exhibition venues, Jnr operates as a sporadic mobile gallery without a fixed physical location.

Rosie Mudge and James King graduated from the Michaelis School of Fine Art, University of Cape Town, in 2013 and 2011 respectively. With backgrounds in art writing, art books, non-commercial art practice and alternative exhibition spaces, they have established Jnr as a playful addition to the contemporary art scene in Cape Town.
